Fourth, fifth and sixth grade students will be given access to both physical and online editions of ‘newspapers’ focused on Social Studies materials for each grade. Classes use these papers for reading, summarizing, and adding details to their learning.

Teachers will supplement their year-long Social Studies instruction using the newspapers. Students will read, either with the paper or online, about the content. Teachers provide additional activities in the form of group reading, assessments, or other hands-on materials suggested in the teacher edition of the materials. These are great resources of non-fiction text at the appropriate grade level for students.
