Kindergarteners To Experience The Gift Of Giving

The Kindergarteners will give the gift of songs, handmade bracelets and cards to local retirement home residents. EE STARS will be fully funding the transportation costs.

Students experience the gift of giving and serving others by learning friendship songs that focus on sight words. They also use sign language to sing many of the songs during their visit. Additionally, students practice oral language skills and introduce themselves to residents and give them handmade art pieces. Chaperones and school staff will be able to watch the Kindergarteners perform the songs and see community service in action.
