Join EE STARS and GotSneakers in donating your gently worn, used, and new unwanted sneaker pairs to classrooms now until Feb. 24.
Recycle. Reuse. Raise Money.
It’s hard to believe that an estimated 600 million pair of shoes go into America’s landfills every year! 100% of these shoes can be recycled and the majority of these shoes can still be reused.
For our next fundraising effort, we are partnering with GotSneakers, a social enterprise, who will issue our foundation funds in return for the collected sneakers. Not only are we helping raise money for Edmonds Elementary, but together with GotSneakers, we'll be keeping sneakers out of landfills and reducing toxic chemicals from being released in our air and soil. When working with GotSneakers, reusable sneakers from our sneaker drive fundraiser are recirculated to secondhand markets so people can access quality, pre-owned footwear at affordable prices. All heavily used and damaged footwear is recycled to reuse materials or to convert waste into new energy.
Anyone can help
It's not only you that can help. Ask your family, friends and neighbors if they have extra sneakers in their closets they would like to donate rather than throw away. By doing so, we raise money for our school and help the environment.
Athletic Sneaker Collection Compensation Guidelines
PLEASE SEND running, basketball, gym & training, cleats (rubber only), lifestyle & casual (specific brands to be given higher compensation*), hiking (specific brands to be given higher compensation*)
Be sure your sneakers are paired together.
All footwear is required to measure equal to or greater than 4.5 inches from heel to toe to qualify for compensation (typically measuring larger than US toddler size 4)
If sending cleats, please only send rubber cleats.
AVOID any non-athletic footwear including but not limited to dress shoes, heels, rain boots, sandals, slip-ons, water socks, wedges, and work boots of any kind.

*The following brands will compensate EE STARS $1.00 to $7.00 (all others will be compensated at 25 cents): Adidas, Altra, APL, Asics, Brooks, Columbia, Converse All-Stars, Fila, Hoka One One, Jordan, Keen, Merrell, Mizuno, New Balance, Nike, On, Puma, Reebok, Salomon, SAS, Saucony, Skechers, Under Armour, Vans
