A 'Note-worthy' Connection for Students and Seniors

This grant brings the community right to our gym floor. Instead of just visiting a center, our kindergarteners and Ms. Spengler and Ms. Martin's first graders take the lead as hosts, inviting our senior community members to join them in singing melodies of love and belonging. The first graders step into leadership roles, introducing performances that blend music with sign language to reinforce their classroom learning.

The real magic happens during the interaction — sharing a "gift of song" and handing out handmade bracelets. STARS support helps provide the supplies that turn a simple school day into a meaningful lesson in empathy, leadership, and community connection.
