Ada Twist Scientist on stage at Seattle Children's Theatre

Putting the 'STEAM' on Stage with Ada Twist

Live theater helps second graders explore science, teamwork, and big ideas in action

Student Grant Recipients Total: 44

Estimated Award Amount: $1400*

Science gets a standing ovation as second graders head to Ada Twist, Scientist: The Musical. This lively performance blends music, movement, and STEM thinking—turning curiosity, problem-solving, and teamwork into something students can see, hear, and experience together.

Through Ada’s story, students experience how problem-solving and teamwork fuel discovery, making clear links to project-based learning in science. The trip also introduces young learners to the excitement of live theater and powerful role models who love asking “why.” With donor support, this field trip sparks curiosity early and shows students that learning can be bold, creative, and fun.
