Drumming Up Connections at Multicultural Night
UW Taiko drummers bring the beat to a night of celebration, fostering learning and connection through culture
Student Grant Recipients Total: 297 EE students, their families, and the community
Award Amount: $250
Students and families will experience the powerful rhythms of Taiko Kai, University of Washington Taiko drummers, at Edmonds Elementary’s First Annual Multicultural Night. Partially funding this engaging performance will support introducing the art of Japanese drumming, offering a dynamic way to learn about Japanese culture.
Multicultural Night is a special opportunity for our school community to come together, celebrate diverse backgrounds, and foster a deeper sense of belonging. Throughout the evening, students and parents will share and explore different cultures through performances, storytelling, and interactive experiences. By highlighting traditions from around the world, this event encourages appreciation, connection, and learning—creating a more inclusive and vibrant school community.Â
This evening event welcomes all Edmonds Elementary families and our supportive community to join the celebration.
